Dear Phran Klub,

For the past month, I’ve been working on a mechanical dress for an upcoming masquerade ball. My vision is that my date’s skirt will gently inflate and deflate, in graceful homage to a jellyfish.

Personally, I am nothing of a seamster. I ruminate skilllessly on how to make the dress beautiful. I don’t know how to alter my suit to complement it. I’ve ventured far from my familiar paths in the artistic woods, and I’m uncomfortable af.

My intern, however, is all about fashion. They’re a wiz with fabric and thread. The outfits they put together for themself are inspiring on the daily, and we make a great team.

Still, making this dress is requiring significant courage. I designed the enclosed sticker to be a friendly nudge. “Try.” It’s the motto of the courageous. Consider sticking it in a spot where your dreams interface with reality. How about the cover of your sketchbook? Your idea journal? Maybe on that one credit card you keep for special occasions?

I encourage you to find out what you can tug over from the unknown when you give one of your ideas a try.
